She graduated in medicine at the KUL (Katholiieke universiteit Leuven) in 2013 and specialised in neurology afterwards. During this training she worked in the university hospital of Leuven, the  Jessa hospital in Hasselt and the national MS centre in Melsbroek.

Since December 1^st 2018 she works in the GZA hospitals Sint-Augustinus and Sint-Vincentius. On Tuesday she also works as a clinical neurophysiologist in the university hospital of Leuven.

Dr. Sanders has special interest is neuromuscular disorders, EMG and movement disorders.
